Press the Add an Event icon on the main menu, or the plus symbol (+) icon on any of the calendar views to begin the process.
Please note that you do not need to fill in all the fields, only the title, icon for the calendar and duration are required to add an event.
Firstly add your title, for best results keep it short - long titles can be harder to read and remember!
Set your priority, the default is normal but you can also set it to low or high according to how you important this event is.
Next is the icon, this is used to represent your event on the calendar when it is not possible to display lots of information.
After the icon is the location, you can either type it in manually or pull an address from your contacts list. This address can be used to get directions to the event from your current location.
Followed by the duration, set as required!
Set the event to repeat if needed.
Add any notes you wish to enter!
Tap save and you're done!
Duration Type 1 - Appointment:
This duration type has no actual duration per-se, instead it utilises a start date and time. As the name would suggest, this type of duration would be perfect for appointments. Given the nature of an appointment these are declared as time critical events within the calendar.
Duration Type 2 - Day to Day:
This type is a point to point duration, you simply set the start and end days and off you go, these events are declared as all day events since there's no time settings involved.
Duration Type 3 - Time to Time:
This is effectively an expansion upon the Day to Day type, in the sense that you specify a start date and time and also an end date and time as well. These events are declared as time critical events within the calendar since times are specified.
Duration Type 4 - Shift Pattern:
Again the name drops hints at it's uses, we figure that a percentage of our userbase will require some way of tracking work shifts effectively - and that's exactly what this option does. Simply set a start day, an end day and then set the start and end times for each day. Used in conjunction with the repeat settings it is possible to create a shift plan for the coming years in a matter of minutes.
